My Story…
My story: Migraine warrior …. I have suffered from migraines since I was 16 years old. Now I’m 41 and try to take control over my debilitating illness. Only I know my symptoms: throbbing, pain on my eye, nausea, dehydration, vertigo, sensitive to light, touch, smell, loss of appetite, loss of taste buds, stuttering, forgetfulness…. On set of migraine… not to mention symptoms after the episode…. Constipation, diarrhea, stomach irritation, thirst, cravings, sensitivity to light, and the urge to recover lost time due to being incapacitated. I live everyday as if I might not be able to get out of bed the next day… because I will not know the severity of my episode until I’m in pain. I go to work, social events, take care of my home, be present for my family even when I’m in pain. Because I’m a warrior. Because I will not let this take over my life. Because I know I have a great support system. I’m doing this for ME… I’m doing this for all of us!
